This week, we have a feature product from a fellow Canadian company that not only keeps the worksite safe, but with just a click of a button (turn on lights with a remote), will make your job easier. Take a look at the Class 1 Wireless LED Beacon from Trux Accessories.

Traditionally, warning lights are hardwired and bolted down on vehicles and equipment, which can be problematic if you need to replace them. In recent years, beacon manufacturers have introduced Vacuum Magnet mounts to combat those issues, and Trux is no different. These mounts firmly snap and seal onto any metal surface, so they stay secure in any situation, and is even water resistant so you can keep running, rain or shine. It’s also easily removeable, just by pulling on the rubber tab, you can pop it off and move it to another vehicle. It can even be used as a warning light, like at the end of a warehouse aisle to let staff know there’s a forklift being operated.

You don’t need to worry about wiring either, as this LED warning light is completely wireless and rechargeable, lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge. In the box, there is a 12V charger for on the go charging, and a standard wall plug adaptor letting you charge up indoors. Add to that the low-power mode, and the ability to operate while plugged in, and dead batteries are a concern of the past.

There are 36 different patterns, with the ability to program 3 favourites you can easily swap between. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering how you activate this light if it isn’t hardwired to the equipment. Well, there are 2 options, the first being the control button on the unit itself. Just press it once to turn it on, press repeatedly until you land on your desired pattern, and hold the button for 5 seconds to turn it off. That can be a little cumbersome though, especially if the beacon is in a hard-to-reach spot. Trux thought of that and included a handy keychain remote control for easy switching and on-off capabilities up to 100ft away.

So, let’s get wireless and recharge our safety game with this week’s feature product, the Class 1 Wireless LED Beacon from Trux Accessories.
