- Feature Product – Peakworks Tool Collar
When working at heights, having your tools tethered is good practice for the safety of everyone around you and more importantly, below you. But what if your tools don’t have a point of attachment for a lan-yard? Well, this week’s feature product gives any hand-tool a way to safely be connected to the worker. Check out these Tool Collars from PeakWorks!
These unique tool attachments can create a tether point for pretty much any hand tool, including that never-die wrench set that’s been in your family for generations!
The tool collars come in 3 different styles:
- Round, for tools like screwdrivers and socket wrench.
- Flat, for tools like wrenches and nail pullers.
- A Press Block accommodates larger tools and has a hex-shaped opening for items like pry bars, but it also includes an extra rubber insert to help with anything odd-shaped.
PeakWorks designed these clamps out of a High-Strength thermoplastic polymer so that it can be reliable in all working conditions, from the sweltering heat of the summer to the blistering colds of winter. They are easily installed or removed thanks to the robust fasteners that help secure the clamp to the tool, which also makes them reusable, unlike heat-tape anchoring systems.
Each style of clamp is also manufactured to be large enough to prevent tools from falling through the commonly used 19-4 steel grating, that can ordinarily be found on construction sites. They also have a durable, moulded eye-hole for quick attachment/detachment for lanyards and carabiners.
Finally, let’s give PeakWorks a rousing “for sure, eh!”, because these tool clamps were not only developed in Canada, they’re manufactured in the great white north too! Talk aboot some Canadian ingenuity! So, keep your tools from hitting the floor, or worse, your coworker's head by clamping down on them with this week’s feature product, the Tool Collars from PeakWorks!
