Tired of always having to clean the trail of dust and dirt left behind when you replace the filter? Karcher thought of this and, by popping open the back of the unit like a trunk, you gain access to the removable filter casing, allowing you to carry the spent filter over to the trash, replace it, and insert it back into the vacuum, dust-free.

Speaking of the filter, in standard shop-vacs, once your filter is clogged up, suction power is reduced, which not only cuts into efficiency, but it also allows fine particles to escape with the vacuum’s airflow, sending them into the air and, in turn, your lungs. This usually means frequent replacement of both the filter, and the filter bag.

To combat this, Karcher built this Shop-Vac with their TACT technology which sends 3 concentrated blasts of air into the filter, knocking off any dust and debris, dramatically increasing the performance and lifespan of the filter. With the dial on the front of the unit, you can instruct the TACT system to activate every 15 seconds on the TACT MAX mode, every 60 seconds on the TACT MIN mode, or turn off the system entirely if you’re using the vacuum for sucking up wet dirt or liquids.

On that note, to make wet vacuuming easier, the unit has a built-in fluid level monitor, which shuts off the vacuum once the maximum fill level is reached, protecting the mechanics inside, and preventing you from needing to keep an eye on how full the tank is. It is important to mention, however, that this function does not work with non-conductive liquids, like grease and oil.
