Transferring fuel from one spot to another is a common occurrence for those who work on farms and job sites, or even at the lake lot. Well, we’re here to lighten the load with this week’s feature product; the G8P Portable Pump Kit from GPI!
It can be very difficult to refuel equipment that can’t be easily moved, or is in a spot you can’t get a truck to. Around the size of a standard thermos, this fuel pump is 20% lighter than similar products and, combined with the comfort grip handle, provides the ability to carry it wherever fuel is needed. Think of scenarios like filling a kerosene heater on a construction site, or topping up diesel engines for pump jacks in the oilfield.
Convenient Features and Stable Design
There’s a convenient built-in wiring harness, complete with an on/off switch and large alligator clamps to hook up a 12V battery. This prevents the need to custom-build a harness, as you do with many other fuel pumps. GPI also provides an 8 ft intake hose with a strainer, an 8 ft dispensing hose with a static wire clamp, and a manual shut-off unleaded nozzle.
The base is made out of steel and is equipped with rubber feet, ensuring the unit stays put and remains stable as you pump gasoline, biodiesel, or kerosene. And once powered up, the G8P provides a 30 litre per minute flow rate, running for 15 minutes straight before needing to cool off.
